Won't waive his stupid NTC to come here. Plus I'd rather keep Johansen. Tonight is no good though.

You'd never trade Johansen for Kes, more like Jenner, Wennberg and a 1st.

Mckenzie said the set price for Kes was an established Nhl center age 20-25, a forward prospect and 1st round pick.

Plus the Wennberg could end up like Mike Richards or Miko Koivu. The Jackets could miss the playoffs if the Wings, Rangers or Devils get on a streak. That first rounder could be pretty high.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say Mike Gillis would gladly accept Boone Jenner in a package for Kesler.

I don't think he'll have the chance. His time is over after the season ends. He destroyed what could have been a great team.

I don't think he destroyed anything. Mike Gillis and John Tortorella did a good enough job of that on their own. I read a report that at the Olympics Kesler told Dustin Brown he was embarrassed he had to fight Brown to back up his GM. True or not those seeds also started getting planted when Torts stripped the A off his jersey before the season started.

I actually think the Gaborik deal was a good trade for both teams given the current circumstances. We are trying to win a cup now and Gaborik was the best fit for our team. We lacked that game breaking speed and hands. With Jenner and Johansen this is probably the most offensively gifted young team Columbus has ever had. Artem Anisimov is one of my favorite players to watch and Dubinsky provides good sand-paper.

As was stated in the blog most teams didn't get a 2nd and a 3rd in the trade and you guys got those picks for eating half of Gaborik's salary. Good luck with Matt Frattin he didn't pan out so well here but he never shied away from criticism and was very mature and professional about the situation. Hope you guys make the playoffs.

Doubt Gaborik could of helped us against the Hawks we just got it handed to us

I understand why Kekkaleinen had to pull the trigger on Gaborik(seeing he had no interest of resigning at the right price ), even if he's injury prone and his speed has left him, he still has a potent shot and still give opponents a hard time.

We are in dog fight for a playoff spot , I just don't think this move was necessary has everyone think it was.
